Tom & Donna

Candiotti

It's not everyday that a celebrity "surfs" into an average persons life. When the initial call came from Tom Candiotti and his wife Donna, our main office virtually came unglued !  All activity stopped as word spread from office to office and desk to desk. Ron (a sports fanatic in denial) was especially excited about the celebrity on the other end of the phone line as Tom Candiotti previously was a pitcher for the Cleveland Indians which are from Ron's home town. After a few phone calls and faxes, we decided that we would send a delegation to the proposed job site to see if a dome was feasable for their 3 tiered swimming pool.  It was a tough job, but some autograph seeking consultant (Ron) had to do it. A date was set, and away we went to the humble abode of the Candiotti's.

On the trip to his home the reality of this unique situation began to set in. We were going to the home of a pitcher for the Los Angeles Dodgers ! Not going to a game or other organized function, we were actually going to his home. Then the questions started to creep into our minds ....... How would they treat us ? ..... Would they really be as nice as they sounded on the phone ? ...... ? .....?

Arriving at the main security gate, we felt even more apprehensive. A call to the main residence allowed the opening of the main gates. Our apprehension grew with each turn on the long, steep and curvy road to the home. Through another set of automatic gates we went, each one in turn closing behind us.  Here we were at last, at their house   home   mansion   castle Heck, I'm not sure what to call it, other than huge and beautiful !   Walking out to meet us was Tom Candiotti himself.

( I guessed that he must have given the butler the day off )

Seriously folks, the treatment we received from both Tom and Donna created another question in my mind ...... Were we the sellers or the buyers here ? ! All in the Rontimco group were treated with a genuine respect that only true proffessionals could have displayed. This couple will always be successful in life no matter what they do.

Tom and Donna, we Thank You !!

P.S.   Although Tom and Donna were great, Casper could use some therapy. He seemed to like to chew on blue jeans with the salesman still in them !
